SEO Savages
AI SEO Agency
We help brands show up in ChatGPT, Gemini, and Claude without using hacks, but by making them worth mentioning in the LLMs.
Most AI SEO advice is noise. "Optimize for LLMs" sounds compelling until you realize nobody knows exactly how these models decide what to cite. We don't pretend to have a secret formula. What we do have: months of testing, real data, and a clear view of what's actually moving the needle in 2026.
If you're looking for guaranteed rankings in AI answers, we're not your AI SEO agency. If you want a partner who's honest about what works, what's hype, and what's worth your budget—keep reading.
What AI SEO Actually Is
Here's what it's not: a replacement for traditional SEO. Because Google still drives the majority of organic traffic! LLMs are a tiny but growing channel—valuable, especially for high-intent queries—but they're not the whole game. Anyone telling you to abandon Google for AI search is selling you FUD.
The difference between Google and LLMs matters. Google indexes pages and ranks them. LLMs synthesize information from their training data and real-time retrieval (for models with search capabilities). You can't “rank” in an LLM the way you rank in Google. You can only increase the probability that the model knows about your brand and finds you relevant to the query. That probability depends on three things:
1. how often your brand appears in quality sources the model has seen,
2. how those sources frame your brand/product (literally: phrases about your brand),
3. whether you show up in the live sources the model can access (Reddit, recent articles, your own site).
Our job is to influence the above.
What Works in AI SEO in 2026
Forget any 47-point checklist. Here's what we've seen produce real results:
Brand signals beat keyword optimization.
LLMs don't think in keywords like Google. They capture entities—brands, people, products—and the relationships between them. When your company is consistently mentioned alongside terms like “best”, “leading”, or “trusted” in authoritative sources (for example: Forbes, Yahoo, niche portals/magazines), models internalize that association. Our AI SEO work starts with systematically building these brand signals through PR, earned media, and strategic placements.
The citation loop is real.
LLMs with search capabilities pull from Reddit, Quora, YouTube transcripts, and recent articles in real time. If your brand is being discussed positively in these channels, you're feeding the models fresh data. We've seen meaningful lifts from well-executed strategies—not astroturfing (which backfires), but genuine participation and earned mentions in relevant communities. This takes significant time and requires consistency.
Listicles and comparison content still matter—but differently.
“Best X for Y” type articles are LLM training data. When you're included in authoritative listicles, you increase the likelihood of being mentioned in AI responses to similar queries. We focus on getting placements in legitimate publications, never ever paying for spots on link farms that exist solely to sell ‘AIO placements’.
Original research and tools create citation gravity.
When you produce genuinely useful research, calculators, or AI-powered tools, other sources cite you. Those citations compound. We help clients develop interactive tools—assets that attract mentions and backlinks organically.
AIO is Overhyped
We're going to be direct about tactics we've seen fail or underperform. Some of these are being sold aggressively by other agencies:
“LLM-optimized content” is nonsense
There's no special content format that makes LLMs prefer you. Some agencies are selling “AI-optimized rewrites” of existing content—essentially running your pages through an LLM and adding some structured data. This doesn’t move the needle.
Schema markup for AI is unproven
Yes, structured data helps Google. It doesn’t influence LLM responses. Some AIO agencies are charging premium rates for 'AIO-specific schema implementation'. We implement good schema because it's SEO best practice.
Fake social proof gets you penalized
Astroturfing Reddit, buying fake reviews, or paying for mentions on low-quality sites might provide short-term visibility, but will penalize you in the end. LLM developers are actively working on detecting and discounting manipulated content.
'AIO audits' with proprietary scores are dashboard theater
Some tools and agencies have invented their own “AI visibility scores” and “LLM readiness metrics.” There's no standardized way to measure AI search visibility, and anyone claiming their proprietary score is the industry standard is overselling. Measurement in this space is still evolving.
Do You Need an AI SEO Agency?
AI SEO isn't for everyone.
You're a good fit if:
- Your prospects are already using AI assistants for research and recommendations.
- You're in a category where “best X for N” or “X vs Y” queries are common.
- You have the budget to invest in brand-building activities that compound over 6-12 months.
- Your traditional SEO foundation is solid (or you're addressing it in parallel).
- You're prepared to treat this as an emerging channel, not a guaranteed ROI machine.
You're probably too early if:
- Your brand is brand new with no existing web presence.
- You don't have product-market fit yet.
- You're looking for quick wins in the next 30-60 days.
- Your total marketing budget is under $5K/month.
- You expect to “rank #1 in ChatGPT” like it's a search engine.
In this case, your resources would generate better returns invested in foundational SEO, product, programmatic SEO, or other channels. We’ll tell you this upfront if that’s the case.
How We Do AI SEO
If what you've read resonates, here's how we work.
We begin by diagnosing your site, without a sales-driven “audit” designed to push you into signing. An assessment of your current AI visibility, competitors, and where the opportunities are. We'll tell you honestly if AI SEO should be a priority at all. For clients that we take on, we execute across three integrated workstreams:
1. brand signal building through PR and earned media,
2. content placements in the sources LLMs rely on, such as search-native distribution on platforms like Reddit, Quora, YouTube,
3. development of research/app/LLM tools that earn citations.
We're founders. We work with a limited number of clients at a time because AI SEO requires ongoing strategic attention, not template-driven execution. We won't hand you off to junior account managers who are learning on your dime.
Our minimum engagement is 3 months. This isn't arbitrary—it's how long it takes to execute minimal brand-building work and start seeing signals in AI responses. If you're looking for month-to-month with a quick escape hatch, we're not the right fit.
