CORE pSEO   fractional programmatic SEO

Programmatic SEO agency.
Scale traffic without scaling garbage.

Two senior founders who took our own startup, Gyfted, from 230 to 126,824 Google clicks a month, and launched Prawomat on 1,125 programmatic pages.

We find the query patterns your data can answer at scale, design the templates and the data behind them, and check every batch before it ships. Your engineers build to our spec. We take one client per vertical, six at most, and we tell you on the first call if programmatic SEO is the wrong channel for you.

definition

What does a programmatic SEO agency do?

A programmatic SEO agency finds the search patterns your data can answer at scale, designs the templates and data model that turn each row into a page, and plans how those pages get checked, indexed and measured.

Programmatic SEO (pSEO) means publishing many search landing pages from one template and a structured dataset. Doing it yourself? Our 7-step programmatic SEO playbook covers the method, the tools and public examples.

pSEO agency vs consultant vs in-house

Typical cost $3,209/mo average SEO retainer $3,500-$6,000/mo, 3-month minimum $89,768/yr average US SEO manager base salary
Fits when You want pages out fast and have no engineers of your own You have engineers and a data advantage, and no senior pSEO lead Programmatic SEO is your core channel for years and you can hire a senior

the rank gate

Does programmatic SEO
still work?

For a small share of pages, yes. In our study of 12.3 million programmatic pages on nine sites with Domain Rating 89 to 94, 96.7% got 100 organic visits a month or fewer (Ahrefs estimates, snapshot 2026-06-27). Authority didn’t rescue the long tail. A thin sliver of pages carried 30 to 80% of each site’s traffic.

The pages that win share three traits. The template answers a specific question better than a hand-written page could. The data is proprietary, curated or transformed into something new. The internal linking helps users and crawlers move between related pages.

So before we design a template, we ask one question: would this page deserve to rank if a human wrote it from scratch? If the answer is no, the page doesn’t get built. If yes, the template is designed to keep what makes it valuable.

honest gating

Is programmatic SEO for you?

Many businesses shouldn’t do programmatic SEO at all. Deployed in the wrong context it wastes budget and can hurt your site. We vet your product, your data and your search demand for fit first, and we tell you on the first call if it is the wrong channel for you.

  1. You need a data advantage

Programmatic SEO is only as good as the data behind it. The projects that rank are built on proprietary datasets, unique aggregations or information that is hard to compile. If competitors can copy your data in a week, your pages won’t stand out for long. We look for companies that have, or can build, a data asset worth a page per row.

  2. Your market must have template-able search demand

Programmatic SEO works when people repeat a query pattern that one template can serve: "best [software category] for [use case]", "[city] + [service]". Broad questions about abstract topics rarely fit. We map your keyword landscape before committing to anything, and if the demand pattern doesn’t fit, we say so on the first call.

  3. You need engineering capacity

Templates need building, data pipelines need maintaining, and pages need to render correctly for crawlers. Without engineers, or budget to hire them, programmatic SEO turns into half-built systems and technical debt. We bring the strategy and the specs; your team brings the capacity to build.

  4. You invest in quality over page count

Anyone promising "10,000 pages in 30 days" is selling you a time bomb. Quality pSEO produces fewer pages, each built to rank and convert, and it compounds over quarters. We measure success in traffic, leads and revenue. If your board measures page count, we are the wrong partner.

  5. You execute the plan in full

Cherry-picking breaks the system. Think of building a car: an engine and three wheels won’t take you anywhere.

the implementation boundary

Who does what

Phase by phase: what we own, what your product and engineering teams own, and where a specialist comes in. Your team keeps the code and the data; we own the decisions about what to build.

  • Research and data sourcing

    SEO Savages
Deep keyword research, competitive analysis and keyword opportunity mapping.
    Client product team
Your growth goals, and the data asset itself: a proprietary dataset, a unique aggregation or information that’s hard to compile.
    Client engineering
Your technical capacity, which we assess with you.
  • Template design

    SEO Savages
Programmatic content ideation, template architecture designed backward from the searcher’s question, and the data requirements behind each template.
    Client product team
Closes the gap between those data requirements and the data you hold, or builds the missing data first.
    Client engineering
Input on your tech stack, which the template architecture has to fit.
  • Build and publish

    SEO Savages
On-page SEO advice, and the internal linking design the templates carry.
    Client product team
Executes the plan in full, without cherry-picking what to implement.
    Client engineering
Builds the templates and data pipelines, and makes sure pages render correctly for crawlers.
    Optional specialists
Engineers you hire, if you have no engineering team of your own.
  • QA and indexation

    SEO Savages
Designs the data validation and the pre-launch QA process, plus the tiered indexation plan: which pages to index now, which should wait, and which serve users without competing for rankings.
    Client product team
Corrects the errors, gaps and inconsistencies QA finds in your data.
    Client engineering
Applies the indexation plan in production.
  • Measurement and iteration

    SEO Savages
Ongoing iteration as we learn what’s working, in weekly meetings and on Slack, WhatsApp or Telegram.
    Client product team
Judges success by traffic, revenue and sustainable growth.
    Client engineering
Maintains the data pipelines as data sources change.

Off-page (backlink) work sits outside these phases. Off-page (backlink) work is agreed with you on both tiers; any link-building spend is on top of the fee.

Dataset → template → page

Illustrative example. Acme CRM, Beta CRM and Gamma CRM are made up; no client data or results are shown.

The spec for one query pattern, “[CRM software] pricing”: the data columns, the template slots and the page they produce. What the searcher needs comes from the first rule in pSEO work that ranks.

  1. Dataset

    One row per CRM product

Each column, with the Acme CRM row below it.

    The CRM’s name Acme CRM
    tiers
Each current pricing tier, with its price Starter $12/user/mo, Team $29/user/mo, Enterprise on quote

Costs that don’t show on the pricing page paid onboarding on Enterprise and extra storage billed separately
    last_checked
When the row was last verified against the vendor’s pricing page 2026-09-01
  2. Template

    One slot per column

Braces mark values that come from the row.

    Body
    A tier table from {tiers} and {included}, a comparison with {alternatives}, and a hidden-costs section from {hidden_costs}.
    Data check
A row with a gap fails the data check, and its page doesn’t get generated.

the checklist

Before you scale: the pilot checks

Run these on a pilot batch before scaling. We design the QA process; your team runs it.

  • Quality: Pull a sample of pages from each template and put every one through the rank gate: would it deserve to rank if a human wrote it from scratch? A page that fails sends its template back to design.

  • Data: Check every value on the sample pages against its source. An error in the sample repeats on every page the template generates.

  • Demand: Check every row in the full dataset against the keyword opportunity map from research, and prune the combinations with no real search demand.

  • Indexation: Submit the pilot’s index-now pages as their own sitemap in Google Search Console and check their indexed share in the Page indexing report. If the share is low, fix quality before scaling.

  • Conversion: Confirm the template’s conversion event fires and analytics records it.

patterns of success

pSEO work
that ranks

The five rules every template we design has to meet. They come from building Gyfted and Prawomat, and from the pages that carry the traffic in our Lab study.

  1. Templates focused on user intent

Weak templates plug in the keyword and generate the page. Good templates are designed backward from the searcher’s question. Someone searching "[CRM software] pricing" needs current pricing tiers, what each includes, how it compares to alternatives, and the hidden costs. The template should deliver all of that, clearly, for every row.

  2. Data quality

Garbage in, garbage out. Errors, gaps and inconsistencies in your data multiply across every page. A dataset that is 85% accurate sounds fine until you realize it means 15% of your pages state something wrong.

  3. "Uniqueness" for each page

Every programmatic page needs enough unique, valuable content to justify its existence. The measure is information density. A 300-word page with genuinely unique data points can outperform a 1,000-word page of templated filler.

  4. Internal linking that builds authority

Programmatic pages should form clusters that reinforce each other. We design linking that makes sense for users moving between related pages and signals topical depth to search engines.

  5. Indexation that prioritizes signals

Some programmatic pages should be indexed now, some later, and some never. Indexing selectively keeps thin pages from diluting your domain’s quality signals.

How to choose a programmatic SEO partner

Programmatic SEO is easy to sell badly: any partner can ship 10,000 pages and call the job done. Ask these six questions, and walk away at the red-flag answer.

Still from The Matrix: a close-up of Morpheus’s mirrored sunglasses, each lens reflecting Neo, with a red pill offered in one hand and a blue pill in the other
one pill ships page counts. the other ships traffic.
  1. What share of their pages earns traffic, and can they show the raw data?

Page count proves nothing. Ask for the share of pages that earns clicks on a site they built, with the Search Console exports behind it, the property and the dates named.

Red flag: "We’ll create X pages per month" as the headline metric, or a curve with no export behind it.

  2. Do they start from your data?

Good templates are designed backward from the searcher’s question, around data unique enough to answer it. A partner who asks for a keyword list before your dataset is planning doorway pages.

Red flag: The same template structure they show every client, whatever the market.

  3. How do they check the data before pages go live?

An error in the dataset repeats on every page. Ask what the QA process is, who runs it, and how the data stays current once the pages are live.

Red flag: No specific answer. They plan to launch the pages and move on.

  4. What did their competitive research show?

Some queries are winnable with programmatic SEO; others belong to entrenched competitors or to content formats a template can’t match. Algorithm updates and changing data sources are real risks too.

Red flag: Rankings promised before any keyword research, and no word about risk.

  5. Who builds the templates and pipelines?

On our engagements your engineering team builds the templates and data pipelines, and we own the research, content ideation, strategy, on-page advice and the QA and indexation plan. Whatever the split, get it in writing before the first sprint.

Red flag: A vague "we handle everything" with no named owner per phase.

  6. Do they work for your competitors?

We take one client per sector per market and cap the roster at six. Ask any partner how many companies in your space they serve right now.

Red flag: They can’t, or won’t, tell you.

how the engagement runs

Founder consultants
to your team

The two founders do the work: weekly meetings, and Slack, WhatsApp or Telegram in between. We flag problems before they reach the pages, and we decide with you what to build next.

Programmatic SEO runs inside our fractional service: $3,500/mo (3-month minimum) or $6,000/mo (4-month minimum). Part-time covers two of our four services, Growth Team all four. Off-page (backlink) work is agreed with you on both tiers; any link-building spend is on top of the fee.

  • Minimum commitment: 3 months (4 on Growth Team).
  • One client per vertical and market, so we never work for your competitor.
  • Six clients at most, so each one gets the founders’ time.

Straight answers

What does a programmatic SEO consultant do? +
A programmatic SEO consultant designs the system that turns structured data into hundreds or thousands of pages matched to real searches, without thin-content filler. In practice that means keyword and template research, programmatic page ideation, the data model behind each template, on-page strategy, and the QA and indexation plan. We work as founder consultants embedded in your team (Slack, WhatsApp or Telegram plus weekly calls), and your engineering team builds the pages.
Programmatic SEO agency or consultant: which do I need? +
Hire a consultant when you have engineers and a data advantage and need a senior to decide what to build and check it before it scales. An agency that builds the pages itself suits a team with no engineers, at the cost of less control over your stack. We sit on the consultant side: the two founders do the research and strategy, and your team builds.
What do your programmatic SEO services include? +
Deep keyword research and opportunity mapping, programmatic content ideation, template architecture and data requirements, on-page SEO advice, internal linking design, the pre-launch QA process and a tiered indexation plan, then measurement and iteration in weekly meetings. Your engineers build the templates and data pipelines. Off-page work is agreed with you; any link-building spend is on top of the fee.
How much do programmatic SEO services cost? +
Our engagements run $3,500/mo (3-month minimum) or $6,000/mo (4-month minimum). Part-time covers two of our four services (programmatic, AI, product-led and technical SEO) and Growth Team covers all four. Off-page (backlink) work is agreed with you on both tiers; any link-building spend is on top of the fee. For context, Ahrefs’ 2024 survey of 439 SEO providers found an average retainer of $3,209 a month, and Indeed puts the average US SEO manager’s base salary at $89,768 a year.
How long does programmatic SEO take to show results? +
Judge it in quarters. Gyfted took 15 months to reach 10,550 Google clicks a month, then three more to reach 90,748. Prawomat went from zero to 4,863 search clicks a month within its first year, with Bing moving months before Google.
Do you build the pages, or does our team? +
Your team does. Your engineers build the templates and data pipelines to our spec, and apply the indexation plan in production. If you have no engineering team, we can help you scope the specialists to hire.
Is programmatic SEO a fit for every business? +
No. It suits some products and models far better than others: marketplaces and data-rich SaaS are often a strong fit, and many businesses are not. We check your product, data and search demand for fit first, and we’ll tell you on the first call if your budget would do more elsewhere.
